Salt Lake Tribune Review
In France, the people like cheese with their wine, and so it goes for "From Paris With Love," an action/buddy-cop tale that takes a lot of liberties with logic. A bulkier
John Travolta shamelessly chews up every scene in Paris as a crazy U.S. spy partnered with an inexperienced U.S. embassy operative ("The Tudors'"
Jonathan Rhys Meyers). The pair try to unravel a drug ring while gunning down enough bad guys to make Arnold Schwarzenegger drip with envy. French director
Pierre Morel knows how to construct an adrenaline-fueled action scene, and plenty of bullets whiz by in its brisk 92 minutes. He just needed to tone down Travolta's lunatic spy and give his dynamic duo a more believable mission for audiences to follow.
